Pistazien Latte

Sometimes you come across a drink that can do more than wake you up. The pistachio latte is just such a drink. The combination of velvety milk foam, fine espresso and creamy pistachio puree really brings color to the cup and sweetens the day with a new taste experience.

Pistachios add a subtle sweetness, a slightly nutty note and a hint of oriental flair. Together with the bitter kick of the espresso and the warm milk, the result is a perfect balancing act - like a dessert to drink.

Whether as a special highlight in the afternoon, for Sunday breakfast or simply when you want to treat yourself: the pistachio latte is a real feel-good coffee. And yes - it also looks stunning! Zutaten
  • A double espresso (e.g. with our Torino Ristretto)

  • 200 ml milk or a plant-based alternative

  • 1-2 tablespoons pistachio puree (alternatively, pistachio syrup is also suitable)

  • Chopped pistachios for decoration

  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey or agave syrup/cream to decorate

Preparation

Prepare the pistachio puree:
Pour the pistachio puree into a heat-resistant glass or large cup. If you like it sweeter, stir in honey or sweetener of your choice at the same time.

Prepare the espresso:
Brew a double espresso or strong coffee. Pour it hot over the pistachio puree and stir thoroughly until everything has combined into a smooth cream.

Foam the milk:
Heat the milk and froth it with a milk frother until it is nice and creamy. Plant-based milks such as oat or almond often produce a particularly stable froth and go wonderfully with the pistachio flavor.

Finish the latte:
Slowly pour the frothed milk into the pistachio and espresso mixture. The foam should settle on top. If you like, you can add more milk foam with a spoon.

Garnish & serve:
Garnish the latte with chopped pistachios or a sprinkling of cocoa powder and/or cream - this gives it a flavorful kick and looks pretty.
